Née à Winnipeg, Roxanne Nikki a commencé à dessiner à l’âge de trois ans. Après avoir remarqué ses dessins, la mère de Nikki a commencé à fabriquer ses vêtements. C’est seulement au moment où elle passait ses examens de fin d’études pour obtenir son baccalauréat en anthropologie et sociologie à l’Université de Winnipeg que Nikki a réalisé qu’elle pouvait faire une carrière en design de mode. Son eurêka l’a conduit à Montréal, où elle a étudié le design de mode dans le prestigieux Collège LaSalle. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme en 1990, Roxanne a travaillé pour une variété d’entreprises en tant qu’illustratrice, modéliste et designer junior. Son style unique a rapidement évolué vers une obsession à plein temps et la création de la marque éponyme ROXANNE NIKKI®.
En 1994, sa première collection de prêt-à-porter mettant l’accent sur son point de vue artistique unique a été vendue dans tout le pays, transformant les rêves de Nikki en une entreprise.
Born in Winnipeg, Roxanne Nikki started designing when she was just three years old. After noticing her sketches, Nikki's mother began making her clothing. It was not until she was writing her final exams to receive her Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and sociology from the University of Winnipeg however that Nikki realized she could have a career in fashion design. Her aha moment led her to Montreal where she studied fashion design at the prestigious College LaSalle.
Upon graduating in1990, Roxanne worked for a variety of companies as an illustrator, patternmaker, and junior designer. Her unique styling soon evolved into a full-time obsession and the creation of the eponymous ROXANNE NIKKI ® label. In 1994 her first ready to wear collection emphasizing her unique artistic viewpoint hit stores nationwide catapulting Nikki's fashion dreams into a business.
